Although relatively small, the island of Murter
has plenty of various beaches situated in the numerous picturesque bays all along the island coastal line. The most famous beaches of Murter are located on the south-west part and are turned towards the Kornati archipelago and protected from the north wind. Some are shallowed and sandy, some pebbled and some of stoned plates suitable for sun-bathing. Because of its pecuilarity and beauty, unwithstand attractiveness and intimacy one cannot decide which to choose and usurp.
In fact, the whole island Murter is a beach itself which is only transforming from a peaceful, lonely, intimate, naturist to one vexed by crowd, amusement and hot summer rhythm.
If you choose a peaceful, hidden bay or blue lagoon, or sandy rhapsody, you can be sure in one thing - you have chosen your own place under the sun. Visit them all and then tell us which one is created according to your taste.
The most famous beaches on the island Murter are Slanica, Podvrske and Cigrada
SLANICA- the main beach in Murter situated near the hotel. Slanica is one of the most beautiful and most visited sandy beaches with plenty of contents and animation. It is suitable for children and nonswimmers, as well as for everybody enjoing in its numerous contents.
PODVRSKE – approximately 600 m away from the hotel, hidden from the public eyes and reachable only by so called lungo mare path. One part of it is reserved for nudists. Podvrške is the favorite gathering place of local inhabitants. The beach spread to the several bays. A part of it is sandy, a part pebble and rocked.
CIGRADA – located on the south part of the island at the very entrance of the place Murter and approximately 1500 m away from the hotel.
The beach Čigrađa is partly peblled and partly rocked with a rich catering offer (beach restaurant, fisherman's house).
